Thailand Logistics: What to pay attention to when packing and loading
In today's era of economic globalization and rapid development of the logistics industry, what should be noted when Thai logistics provides you with scientific logistics container loading?
Avoid generating concentrated loads. For example, when loading heavy goods such as machinery and equipment, the bottom of the container should be covered with a cushion, such as wooden boards, to distribute its load as much as possible. The average unit area of the bottom of a standard container is approximately 1330 × 9.8N/m for a 20 foot container and 980 × 9.8N/m2 for a 40 foot container.
2. The unit volume density of each container is determined, so when loading the same batch of goods inside the container, as long as you know the density of the goods, you can determine whether the goods are heavy or light. Cheng Qiwei said that if the density of the goods is greater than the unit volume density of the box, it is heavy, and vice versa, it is very light. In order to improve packaging efficiency, it is very important to distinguish between these two different situations in a timely and clear manner.
When packaging with a forklift, it is limited by the mechanical free lifting height and the height of the portal frame. Therefore, if conditions permit, forklift boxes can load two layers at a time, but there should be a certain gap between the upper and lower layers. If the conditions do not allow loading two layers at once, when loading on the second floor, considering the free lifting height of the fork loading and unloading truck and the possible lifting height of the fork loading and unloading gantry, the lifting height of the gantry should be the height of the first floor cargo minus the free lifting height, in order to load the second floor cargo on the upper layer of third-party cargo.
4. When loading, the load at the bottom of the box should be balanced, especially strictly prohibiting the setting of a load center at one end.
When goods are loaded into a container, the weight of the goods inside the container shall not exceed the maximum load capacity of the container, which is the total amount of the container minus its own weight. Generally speaking, the total weight and self weight of the goods are indicated on the container door.
6. When loading goods, it is necessary to accurately grasp the internal dimensions of the container and the external dimensions of the cargo packaging in order to calculate the number of loading components and minimize the disposal and loading of goods.
When using manual loading, attention should be paid to whether there are loading and unloading instructions such as "cannot be inverted", "flat", "vertical" on the packaging. Ensure proper use of loading tools and prohibit tying with hand hooks. The goods inside the box should be packed neatly to facilitate the packaging of fragile goods. Buffer pads or plywood should be inserted between the goods to prevent them from moving inside the box.
In addition, it is best not to expose the goods and at least have packaging. Do not blindly damage the goods to save space. General goods are also packaged, only large machines such as boilers and building materials are more troublesome and must be tied and secured to prevent loosening. In fact, as long as we are serious and conscientious, there won't be too many problems.
